Elmer T. Lee ... the best bourbon I've ever had--feels like I'm being tucked into bed.

Just to give you some idea what bourbon costs in Germany:
E.H. Taylor is 120 €, Eagle Rare 10 SB 40 €, Wild Turkey Rare Breed 37 €, Elmer T. Lee SB is 36 €, Evan Williams SB/Blantons SB is 34 €, Four Roses SB 30€, Elijah Craig 12 28 €. Buffalo Trace/Bulleit is 22 €, Four Roses/Evan Williams BL 18-19€ (1 liter). JD is 17-18€, Jim Beam is 12 € or so.

Guess I'll have to pick up some Elmer T. Lee next time.

damn that's a crazy price. 36 euros for elmer t lee. it's good not sure if it's that good. Here it's on the expensive side if it's $30 and at that price its uhmaaazing.

if you already bought buffalo trace tho i would recommend it to compare. it's still pretty good for 36 euros. it's basically the buffalo trace mash bill with more rye.

dude apparently you guys get blanton's single barrel in europe (for some reason they don't sell any here). if you can find that i would highly recommend.

Good to know. Scratched Elmer T Lee, replaced it with Blanton's SB. wink.gif

Rye can get outrageously ridiculous. Regular Sazerac (6?) costs 60-80 €. baldy[1].gif

wow that's some ridiculous prices

shoot i meant barrel proof not single barrel. it has a copper colored label

they call it straight from the barrel

it's cask strength tho just so you know
Yeah, that's 50-60 €, same as Blanton's Gold Edition.

Pretty sure I had Blanton's single barrel with my priest the other night. Almost positive it was the single barrel.

^aren't catholics ok with alcohol tho? if he said pastor i would be like cool pastor

yeah i misspoke. i meant the barrel proof edition. the single barrel is still great tho

50 euros isn't too terrible of a price

hahahah. why is it so strange to get a drink with one's pastor?

Anyhow, if I did infact have the Blanton's SB, I still think the Elmer T. Lee is better.

I'll be in NYC in May, if anyone wanted me to bring something up (I don't know what is available here that isn't elsewhere).
