Welp turns out he used picon club and not byrrh grand quinquina. Not the same? Picon supposedly is gentian, quinquina, and oranges

Was actually very good. Loved the bitteriness of it

I've had a few inverted cocktails. They are fun.

I really doubt you're gonna stump the dudes at AB. It was their 1 year anniversary Saturday.

I'll continue to post industry relayed stuff in here even though I don't think there is a tremendous interest. This touches on a bit of what I do and how the market works.

The guy from anvil sounds like a real gas, not.

This is relevant to my interests, please do keep posting this stuff.

Jim Meehan, as usual, is right about things.

What part of the industry do you work in?

Mojitos.

So, can anyone explain me why crushed ice should in some cases be preferred over ice cubes? I can't think of a reason other than maybe the appearance of the drink.

Appearance and it distributes the mint evenly throughout the drink

Regency Punch. Mint leaves in the ice are in recognition of the date.

Oh, you mean you have more control as to where the mint leaves are positioned in the glass? Does it actually have a big effect other than an added sensuary experience due to mint leaves that stick out of the drink's surface--which you could, albeit difficultly, achieve with ice cubes, too? Does the effect outweigh the reduced influence on dilution?
