53 Tesseron and 63 Armagnac this week so far. Plan to add some highland park to that list tonight.

Made a little rum punch.

2 oz light rum
2 oz dark rum
1 oz pineapple syrup
splash cherry brandy
juice of one lime

Add to glass full of crushed ice

Came out well. Tried the same thing earlier with all dark rum and I like this version better.

Oban DE last night. So yummy. I love its dryness, its fruitiness, and its saltiness.

The boys at one of our usual venues had been playing all week and they had several things for us to taste. One was ice and Sambuca slush from the Vitamix then topped with Kahlua foam. It was tasty and a nice mix. Then something tropical with fresh squeezed (and picked) grapefruit, rum, some other stuff and topped with a lemon foam. Really refreshing.

Yes, they were playing with foam. The chef had a new foie presentation he wanted me to taste and we came up with the idea of icewine foam for the foie. It was really good. smile.gif

It's hot and humid here in NOVA!

A wine cooler: 1 part 2011 Crane Lake Pinot Grigio, 1 part Arnold Palmer Lite over ice.  The wine was a gift from the company I work for and is not worth any other treatment.

Cheers,

:<)  You are probably right.  We were at Kingsmill resort for the weekend and everybody got a bottle after dinner.  The buffet dinner was also second class for such a beautiful venue.

Oh well, it does make a drinkable cooler.

LOL

Have you guys tried Chartreuse 1605
or Chartreuse M.O.F. Cuvée des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Sommeliers
or Chartreuse Framboise des Pères Chartreux Liqueur?

Boulard is pretty good, easy to find, and where I live at least, reasonably priced.

Thanks. Guess I'll have to pick it up along with some Chartreuse jaune. Or have you guys had success with Chartreuse verte in a Widow's Kiss?

Piob, still happy with your yarai mixing glass?

Love it. Thinking of getting a big martini pitcher at some point though.

Anyone ever done a cask aged Last Word (minus the lime juice, obviously, which would be added upon consumption)? It seems intriguing, especially as Chartreuse offers a barrel aged version.
