Even Tito's is questionable. Doesn't he claim that he uses a continuous batch still? As in a pot still with a refracting column? Hard to imagine how he gets 600, 000 bottles a year off that.

It's still great vodka. Just questionable.

Had some Purity vodka this weekend. It was very sad. The GM at my place, the guy that often puts six iterations of his newest drink out for me and Mrs. Piob to help him fine tune, was really proud of landing some of this stuff. I usually start off there with a couple Ketel One vodka martinis (bacon stuffed olives!) and the GM poured me a vodka martini with the Purity. I like just a dash of olive brine. This Purity was crap and it tasted super salty and just off somehow.

Lol, people are actually investing 1,000 $ in it? What if you prefer a different ratio? can you just melt the plastic and remold it? Or do they offer bespoke?

FWIW, the only proper way to prepare a cocktail is by weighing the liquids.

Is there an easy to way to get the cubes out of the silicone mold? I am struggling to get them loose and out. On a diet, but have been making killer mojitos with fresh mint from the garden and caipirinha with Cacha, using simple syrup made from splenda. People I have served them to couldn't tell the difference.

Hmmm. I've never had an issue before. My tray is in the 2x2 format so I've never had a problem just popping them out from below. I guess a quick splash of warm water on the bottom would loosen them a smidge.

I use these from Lurch (40x40 mm) and have no problem whatsoever popping them out.

For the hockey game, my go to sweet drink, which consists of 1.5 oz dark rum, .75 oz amaretto, and orange juice over ice in a tumbler. And one, soon to be two, gin and tonics.
