The Facebook clips have been decent 30-60 second interviews. Here is what a friend texted me about it "Yea those aren't in the movie I think they're just extras. The movie focuses a lot on Stevie from EO and a guy from CT. But with cocktail/bar history and other industry fancy people in there too."

Yah, I am going to catch one of the premiers.
 Looks interesting.

I didn't know employees only got b-a-n-a-n-a-s like that. I went on a Friday and it was subdued. I'm guessing things get a little crazier on Sunday and Monday when most people have off. Ill need to check it out. I know they do pajama nights sometimes.

Rob Roy tonight with some god awful scotch that I don't think I can polish off any other way. May switch to a Rusty Nail though...

Sorry to hear that - what scotch is it? Not sure how bad it is, but sometimes it's nice to end up with a disappointing scotch for mixing.

I've made some decent drinks playing around with scotches I didn't like - one I cut with a mix of yamazki and angels envy.

Here are some random pics a friend sent me from EO last night. Silky Sunday they have a burlesque show and the bartenders are usually in their underwear.
Warning: slighlty NSFW (Click to show)

It's really great to see that the pretentious pendulum is starting to swing the other direction. There should be no reason why you can't have a great cocktail and still have a fun bar atmosphere.

I hear you, but using Employees Only as an example of the decline of pretension is like using Hitler as an example of the rise of tolerance.

(yes, I just Godwin'd a thread about cocktails. suck it.)

At Shakers and Company in London.

Last Word

The "Special" (cognac and bourbon based)

manhattan with Makers and house made angostura and (my request) orange bitters. Luxardo cherry.

Sazerac with a absynthe washed glass

Great place. Bartender helped steer me in the right direction with my drink suggestions. Came to £37 or so by the end of the night.

Decided to give some bourbon a shot tonight. Always been more of a scotch man myself. Dabbled in some cognac and armagnac, and although I enjoy it, I went right back to scotch. But picked up some Rowan's Creek today, and it really is quite good.

Anyone have some suggestions for some good bourbon? The Rowan's Creek has a nice flavor, but I would prefer more of a full bodied feel to it. I do like the honey notes though.

My tastes are more "high end grocery store," but evan williams single barrel, Blanton and basil hayden are really good qpr.

Personally drinking some bruichladdich 10 currently. Good, if not a little one note.

Margarita tonight. 2 oz each Don Roberto blanca (nice stuff), Combier, juice of two limes, splash simple.

Very nice for the hot and humid weather today.
