What are you drinking right now? - Page 796

I've been enjoying the same as my go to drink lately, except St. Germain instead of absinthe. Lovely.

Been knocking back a bunch of Wiser's with orange peel and diet lime Coke since we got home from lunch.

Something interesting happened at lunch. They had Far Niente Chard on the wine list for $60 bucks. I know what I'm getting there (oak + mallos) but thought it would go well with lunch and it was cheap so I ordered it. Waitress pops the bottle, pours me a taste....and it's their Cab! We all were surprised. She said she had accepted the case without checking and this was the first bottle. I didn't notice either when she presented the bottle, just saw the vintage (08). So we ended up with a free bottle of Far Niente Cab.

That's the kind of thing that really brightens a day, isn't it? icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Oh, it's all good. except for the part where baby girl dumps a full glass of water onto her stool and the floor and then flings her binky across the room and howls and won't eat the stir-fry I made. But I peeled an orange and put on some Scooby Doo so things settled a bit. After a bath and a couple of episodes of Phineas and Ferb, she's asleep and I'm studying accounting. Well, poasting, really, but I was studying FAS. for a few minutes at least.

Talisker 18 and Ardbeg Uigeadail. Trying to figure out which of the two I prefer.

The Talisker 18 has replaced the Lagavulin 16 as my daily dram. I think it will end up beating out the Uigeadail as well. Although amazing, it is pretty damn intense.

Drink both with just a couple drops of water.

Working on the '73 Puysegur Armagnac yesterday and a Filloux XO. Haven't opened the '63 yet but plan to do a tasting of armagnacs and cognacs with some friends soon enough.

I don't know whether the Armagnac or that table is more beautiful. I love Macassar.

Also, here to say that I think Zaya is pretty awful rum. So much vanilla I think I am drinking perfume. Gah.
