Just took another sip and it seems very smooth/silky. Feels like less than 40%. Soft, fresh flavor.

 

SBlack is widely available in Poland <--- we are a vodka nation. If you saw the charts of 'alcohol consumption by type' you'd be very surprised with how low the bars standing for beer and wine are compared to western European nations. 

As for the 1L bottle <--- maybe duty free market ? 

 

That is because of copper pot used in distillation. I believe SBlack is among the best "value for money" vodkas that are widely available!

So who knows this lady here? The bottle spent two years standing on my bar and I have just recently opened it. To that moment I had considered it to be a hype but when I tried, I was very positively surprised --> it ain't all smoke, peat and burnt tires! Great balance and nice complexity, which is quite uncommon among such young whiskies.

Well... maybe, kinda', I guess...

 

I think it is not a regular expression of Ballantine's. Apparently it's a sepcial 12yo blend for Xmas which is supposed to be spicy and ginger in taste :) No plans to check that! The bottle is sweet and the chances are it is better than whisky so I'll let it rest on my shelf :) 

I tasted this "Farclas" the other day. This is a W-O-W whisky. I regret the bottle ain't mine :(

Sure! But no clue why I cannot rotate it when uploading. It looks nice and icy with a flash. I really like the design.
