To be honest, I do not get why people collect spirits.
Imo they should be consumed, that's what they are made for.

You have to collect them before you can drink them.

Old fashioned. Simple Syrup, Lemon, orange, cherry, bitters, bourbon. Muddled. To me, an old fashioned has fruit, and it's actually integrated into the drink. Fruit, bitters, water, spirit is the formula, after all. If you're just putting a lemon twist in, it doesn't qualify as an old fashioned.

Hampton, you need to invite me to a round of drinking.
Where are you located?
Only thing I can deciphre from the Polo is "Hotel".
But seems to be a double name, could be French, so France or Switzerland maybe?

Right now france because of work. Before that I was in spain for 2 years and london around 3 years. So i'm all over the place. Actually all this is by a friend/client I work with who loves wine/champagne so we go to diffrent places he knows about and try out little of everything. Really enjoying my stay here.

Sounds like a great friend!
Both French and Spanish people appreciate food and drinks a lot more than Germans - I have to go there again any time soon.
Enjoy your stay!

You have to recommend some champagne to myself after your stay. (Hope I can afford it).
I would love to learn more about it but have not the slightest clue, some friends who are very much into cocktails and spirits in general told me to try Taittinger as a nice entry level and I have seen one of these bottles on one of your pictures too.

You know i'm not so good at champagne but i'm learning. I really do enjoy wine more and know alot more about wine or whiskey. But this guy knows everything about liquor since he works with it beside his normal job. So i'm glad to have such a expert with me :D

Gomestar is one of the folks you want to get talking about Champs in the wine thread.

went to some hotel bar in Seoul last night with two cute girls I know and drank three half bottles of grower champs, some half bottle promo. I think I drank Guy Charlemagne and then Billiot twice. Charlemagne is pretty good, I've drank a couple times before at restaurants in Japan. Now I've come back to Japan and I've drank an Asahi, a Sapporo, and a Kirin. Still fucking hot.

A La Louisiane

1 part Michter's
1 part sweet Noilly Prat
1 part Benedictine
1 dash Absinthe
1 day Peachaud's bitters.

Stir, strain and pour.

Very nice.
