I'm not a huge fan of the soles, that's why I haven't worn them. The pairs I wear have lower-profile sillhouettes.

Oh my god, those ATF Service Shoes are incredibly awesome. If they came in black I'd buy them instantly.

These look a little like those designer boots.. what were they, Costume National? Don't remember. http://www.shoe-shop.com/invt/sch320...icat,3,,m10034 Edit: More views http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/item_mai...p?s_ref=320543

ABput those Schuh boots.. they are listed as: "Finished off with a synthetic moulded sole."
From the pic it almost looks like there is a channel on the sole. Any ideas? Welted, glued or neither?

I like those schuh boots, good price too. Unfortunately they don't ship to the US.

Did anyone order boots from at the front? Any reports?

If anyone has any feedback, I am also interested.

Found some more potential candidates:

Please, someone try the ATF boots. I must know. Also, Medium's leatherwork is generally pretty decent. I'd prefer to have the ATF boots, but those aren't bad. Medium's not easy to find, though. Doesn't help that they're (for obvious reasons) impossible to find on eBay.

Does anyone know of another source for the Japanese boots posted by Nemuu? They're beautiful but don't seem to be in stock at At the Front anymore.

Contact ATF and ask. They probably had them custom made, but I imagine there are other WW2 militaria repro companies who've done runs of Japanese boots as well.
