You should probably try directing this question toward NikeTalk or something. Probably way more helpful info and knowledge wrt this particular question.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I did have a pair of once-worn Jordans from '90 or '91(hideous purple/white with the mesh on the sides) that crumbled once I took them out if the box a couple of years ago. The foam sections of the soles basically crumbled to dust without much effort. The rubber was fine, but it delaminated from the foam in the arches.

Sneakers can definetly last 10+ years w/o cracking, but it depends on if they are worn or not.

I mean, mine were able to fit on around my foot pretty well. So I guess I would rate the "wearbility" as a 7. I still was not able to notice any difference on my non-horizontal jump tho

Blazers look better as you wear them and beat them up. If they are a nicer TZ blazer and use premium leather they will wear well for years. I've had a pair of TZ blazers for about 5-6 years and they look better with every wear - just keep in mind that wearing shoes in winter = salt damage, which will ruin ANY shoe
