Guys who lives in DC and NYC...please suggest me what I should do there? shopping?

Any recommendation on restaurant? Does not need to be fine dining restaurant, I would like a unique food that I can't get at any other places.....

Joe's Shanghai in Chinatown for good dumplings. Walking distance from Soho which has uniqlo, apc, rag and bone, opening ceremony and other cool shops
