Testicle Pain Using Laptop

I know there is a potential for some ridiculous responses with this thread, but regardless I felt like posting my recent experience. I figured some of you may have experienced the same issue or something similar (or know someone who has).

I can't remember exactly for how long now, but I've been using a laptop computer at home in a similar fashion for many years. Especially at night before bed. Often times I'll lie in bed and read articles or browse sites while lying in bed. I don't place the laptop in my lap but I do tend to keep it directly in front of me (not touching my body) or to my side (ditto not touching my body). If I had to guess, I'd say I've been doing this for the last 5 years. Before that, I didn't have a laptop as I used my desktop for my computing needs at home.

About six months ago I started to get this very strange pain in my right testicle while using my laptop in his manner. I did not feel this pain while using my desktop at home or at work. The pain would be best described as an "aching" or "squeezing" around the testicle. It also created a "tingling" sensation at times. This pain would also occur directly below my testicle in the area where the leg and crotch met (groin?).

I freaked out that it might be testicular cancer, so I went to a Urologist who did an exam and then had me get an MRI of that area. Luckily for me I didn't have cancer, but he did detect swelling in the right testicle, and put me on a medication. A week later I felt better (and avoided my laptop during this time). He officially diagnosed it as Epididymitis. Even though I wasn't sexually active at that time, I was getting out of a relationship a year prior where I never used condoms, so it could potentially be from that, but he wasn't entirely sure. I told him about the laptop, thinking it might be connected, but he had no idea if that was the case.

I reverted back to my laptop in the bed ways, thinking the Epididymitis was the culprit and it wasn't related to the laptop. Sure enough within minutes of using my laptop in bed, the exact same pains/sensations returned in the same areas. I should also state that these pains never occurred at any other time other than the laptop use in bed.

After two or three more occurrences that week, I stopped using my laptop in bed and the pain has since never returned. I should also say that I once used the laptop in bed with a pillow resting below the laptop, and the pain still returned amazingly.

I have now refrained entirely from using the laptop unless there is a desk of some sort to place the laptop on. The pain, thankfully, has never returned using the laptop in this manner.

Onilne research showed me that others on different forums have had a similar experience to mine. However often times those men are placing the laptop directly on their laps, and I never did that myself. It was always placed in front of me or to the side, resting on the bed itself.

The research on laptops and testicular cancer/pain seems to be pretty inconclusive at this point. However given my experience I'm convinced that it is dangerous to some regard if you are placing your laptop that close to your body. I now use my iPhone in bed if I need to browse the web, and have contemplated using an iPad to do the same, however I worry this might also trigger similar symptoms (who really knows if that would be the case).

Has anyone here had a similar experience or know somebody who has?

I typically have to pay to get these sensations. I have a laptop so you just saved me a bunch of money.

I've actually had the precise same sensation in my jewelry. I also got a scanning, and I too, luckily, didn't have cancer. The doctor who did the scanning could see some water around my right testicle though.

I have never connected the dots (laptop -> ballpain), but seen retrospectivly, I didn't have any pain at all when I was 10 days skiing without touching a laptop.

Do you think radiation from the laptop is the course? I will have to get meself some radaway and a stimpack then

Sounds like electromagnetic sensitivity is occurring due to radiation emissions from the laptop, which causes more pain due to epididymitis. Have your testicles make a phone call with a cell phone and tell us if they have pain during that time also.

With full disclosure, I should also state that when I was using my laptop in this regard, it was never to masturbate to porn. If I ever do use my laptop to look at/spank to porn, I've always been standing at the edge of the bed while doing so. Not sure why but that's always been my method of doing it. So with respect to my usage in the past, and the pain I experienced, I was just sitting/lying there reading articles, etc.

Yes, I do believe the radiation emitting from the laptop is causing this pain, in some regard. Studies will say I'm wrong, but I know what I've experienced. As for the Brookstone item, I don't believe that will change a thing. Like I said before, I once used a big pillow, and the pain still came.

.

how do you do this do you hold the laptop in one hand? and which direction are you facing when you stand by the edge of your bed? facing the bed or away? Sounds like you are exposing your testes to some weird experiences.

If it's the radiation then you should probably get a sperm count and see how many of the little fellas you have left...

The laptop rests on the bed and I'm standing in front of it. I really would like to refrain from discussing my spanking method beyond this reply. Thanks.

I'm not having kids anytime soon so I don't really care. I doubt it's done permanent damage, if any at all. If I'm really concerned I'll have my sperm tested when I'm married and looking to have children.
