I don't know about the other members here on the forum but I hate seeing people in bad fitting and bad quality suits, it makes me cringe! I am willing to extend my budget to a certain extent if you (or anyone else for that matter) could point me in the direction of good looking and quality RTW suits. I don't think as of yet ill be able to afford MTM. I'm only 19 and don't have much money! Some friends have suggested I get a suit I like even if its a bit big and then get it altered. Is this a good idea do you think? Thanks for your help!
The shoulders cannot be altered and thats what the "34" stands for; it is very difficult to change it and would definitely destroy the suit: SF ers correct me if I'm wrong

Notts here too!!!!! Austin Reed as well: I have yet to find one that has a 34 in their Shop; Just to help you save time: Ive scanned the entire City Centre for a 34------> No luck in any of the "Men" 's Shops

Some will need the trousers finishing but it is definitely worth a trip.

BTW - They were also selling dress shirts (RRP £80 each) at 2 for £20. Crazy prices.

Thanks for that I will have to go and take a look! Dress shirts at 2 for £20 sounds incredible! Are their shirts quite slim fitting? I hope they are because I've tried on a few other designer shirts in my time and the sleeves were way too baggy! I'm quite a slim lad you see. Do they do 14.5?

Also, check out Ralph Lauren Children. Their largest size is big enough for my friend (36/30) so I can't see a problem with your getting a 34/28.

Added bonus: No VAT on children's clothing!

Whut he said. The youths' departments of the upscale RTW places sometimes have some really nice stuff.

They run 14.5 but they dont change the length of the sleeves so they have standard sleeve lengths that change with the collar measurements (so if you have short arms= alter) Some of the slim fits (the ones that had a Collar measurement on the Tag) I found weird compared to other slim fit shirts: The body is slim fit but the sleeves are pretty baggy (for a skinny person). Do what I'm doing : Alter baby Alter....... Paying a bit for the Alter might be worth it given the Huge discount you're getting for the price (Little Secret: Slimming the sleeves is pretty easy you can do a search online and you'll see what I'm talking about; if you know someone whos got a machine u can get it done)

Travel to a larger branch - say Meadowhall - it is hardly a big deal given that you are proving difficult to satisfy.
