I made the mistake of scrolling down to the comments section after reading the Yahoo article.

His first stroke was in 2007 which means he was 37. Way too young for a stroke. RIP.

Two to the one from the one to the three
I like good pussy and I like good trees
Smoke so much weed you wouldn't believe
And I get more ass than a toilet seat
Three to the one from the one to the three
I met a bad bitch last night in the D
Let me tell you how I made her leave with me
Conversation and Hennessey
I've been to the muthafuckin mountain top
Heard muthafuckers talk, seen 'em drop
If I ain't got a weapon I'ma pick up a rock
And when I bust yo ass I'm gonna continue to rock
Getcha ass of the wall with your two left feet
It's real easy just follow the beat
Don't let that fine girl pass you by
Look real close cause strobe lights lie

RIP

G-Funk Classics 1&2 was a very underrated album. Completely blows away all other solo Nate Dogg efforts. The album got very little promotion since Death Row folded after he completed the album but before the release date. I think Nate had to fight to get this released on a lower-tier label. Do yourself a favor and cop this album.

weird thing ... i live in lbc and the local paper had a religion columnist named pamela hale ... about as hard-core a born-again, sinners will burn in hell, get right with my god or get out of the way, baptist as you can imagine. yup. nate's sis.

EDIT: Wikipedia says it was. I always thought the hook came from the Donnie Hathaway sample.

Just listened. That's definitely not Nate singing on "Lil' Ghetto Boy".

Is he lip syncing in the video? I never paid that much attention, I just assumed it was him.

Just looked at the album, he's listed as singing the hook, and he's singing in the video. Unless he's lip syncing and they were lying, it's him.

In the face of all of this evidence, I'm still unconvinced. It pains me to be this way.

Lyric sites have Daz listed as the vocals, but there are some back-up vocals that come in before the hook that he apparently sings. I for one would love to see another dogg pound album. I'm cautiously optimistic that Dre's album will feature some of Daz & Kurupt in addition to Snoop.
