Florsheim by Duckie Brown Cordovan Shoe & Boot Thread - Page 20

Here are my boots, worn 2 days. They have a little of the schmutz people complained about but it's a small amount. You can see it in the last pic. Othewise they're quite nice and especially at $190. Size 13 so I got a lot of shell for the money. Sorry about the lighting, you'll have to take my word that they are navy.

^^ nice. I have them navy LW. As they age and creases will show a bit lighter powdery blue. Every now and then I use neutral polish and they bring back the dark shine. Funny sometimes under different lighting they even look green. Once my gf asked me if they were green !!

Nice. I snagged the last pair the other day. Hoping they're as defect-free as yours.

How do the cordovan florsheims fit compared to the barrie last?

A little bit smaller than the equivalent Barrie size. Not quite half a size smaller, but a bit smaller.

I've got the FxDB longwing in 8.5D (from Rennavate) along with a Barrie longwing in a size 8D and a couple of Kenmoors in 8.5D.

I consider the Barrie 8D and Kenmoor 8.5D to fit the same. On the other hand, I find the FxDB 8.5D to be noticeably larger than both the Barrie and Kenmoor. If I were to buy another FxDB, I would get my Barrie size.

i agree with this. they run bigger than tts but maybe not big enough to size down 1/2 size

Thanks for the input guys!

Been trying to determine if I should try a 12.5 or not, since my toes are sitting between the 2nd and 3rd holes on the medallion. So in my case the barrie last would be a 12.5 US for my Flors 13 US then.

Yeah, and the reason I had to sell mine is that my Barrie size (8.5) was just a bit too tight on the Florsheim x Duckie Browns, there's much more room in my 8.5 Barrie-lasted LWBs.

I'd say true to size. I put an insole in and they fit great.
