Hey guys,

I'm trying to get a look like below, but I have very thick hair that makes it hard to style. What should I do and what products should I use? I've been using BedHead wax for now.

Try a matte wax followed by some hair spray

would it work for longer hair though? (longer than in the picture)

Hey everyone. I could use some advice, if anyone is feeling generous :) Here are two pictures of me, currently my hair is a little longer than shown. Following pictures are styles that I can't decide which way to go.. suggestion(s) welcome!

some options (Click to show)

I like a laid back look, with a little bit of messiness. Though my hair is super thin and flat, so its hard to give volume without a greasy look. My current hair product consists of head/shoulders shampoo, apply american crew defining paste, apply garnier fructise wonder waves.

And I'm halfway thinking of growing it out to one of these looks below, but I can't get the scruffiness going that puts it over the edge :/

Haha ok, thanks for the tip on that. I wear them about half the time, mostly for driving, and can usually get away w/o them otherwise. But my sights not getting any better.. will have to look into lenses

So uhh, quick question. As some of you may know, I have fairly dry hair and most recently (thanks to you guys) have switched from shampooing every day to just once a month (or when I really need it). My feels healthy and has a much smoother texture and shine. Now, I have been noticing a "maturing" hair line occur around a couple of years ago (18 right now). For the past 2-3 months of doing the little shampoo, I have also had my hair longer then usual. So I couldn't really notice my hair line. Today, I look at it and it appears that there are some shorter hairs (shorter than the rest of my hair) around the hairline. My question is:

Are these hairs that are going away or hairs that are coming back in? Is it possible that since I have more natural oils in my hair that my hair might be growing back just a touch?

When my hair was shorter, I also use to spike it up everyday..so that could have something to do with it.

How hard do you guys think it is, for the average guy, to pull off this hairstyle Beckham has? Even with blonde hair?

Also, does it look like he has a high hairline?

Just posting to provide information for anyone who is looking to get a style like this.

The key to getting the haircut you had in mind is proper communication with the barber, do some research and learn the proper terms, there's tons of information on the web and it's worth taking the time to read, pictures help too if you can't figure out the exact name of the style you're looking for. Barbers appreciate when people know what to ask for in terms they understand as it gives them a clear definition of what to do, and you will appreciate the results. Not to come off as snobby, but it's always kind of funny to me hearing someone fumble their words as they try to explain to the barber what they want done, sometimes you can see the barbers do to.

Anyhow, I've been keeping this style for a while now ever since I saw 'The Tree of Life' a while back. I usually go when they open on Tuesdays every 2 weeks as my hair grows extremely fast and I can't stand it to be much longer than a 2 on the sides, I would take it to down to the skin every 2 or 3 days if I could, as seen in the picture of the cut I got today. The hair Brad Pitt sported in 'The Tree of Life' made me want to have mine like this, it fits the criteria for military standards but most 'jarheads' take it higher up towards the crown, where I ask to keep it low.

His cut here is more of a mid fade than a low fade, which is what I get but I like mine to be a bit lower, coming up to just below the parietal ridge.

It's not as long on top as I'd prefer but I decided to sport the 'voldemort' look (I call that look skinhead x greaser) at the beginning of January and buzzed a no guard all over at home myself, I haven't touched the top since and this is the 3rd time I went and got a haircut since then.

I ask for a low skin fade and to keep it full up through the sides and back. I think it's pretty damn close to the inspiring style.

Please excuse my beak of a nose, my great grandfather was Polish.

Next time I'm going to add some texture and when it's longer I get it a bit shorter on top in the back than in the front. I use Crew fiber and just a bit of pomade. Personally I like Crew products, come out with solely water and they seem to make my hair feel healthy.

Okay, PHEW I've been looking for the past few minutes trying to find a HAIR thread. And now I've found one! :) For a long time, I've been searching for a forum so that I can get opinions on what kind of new hairstyle I should get. I'll give you some info (face shape, eyes, etc.)

Face Shape: A large forehead, shapeless eyebrows, slightly pointy chin, and when I smile my cheeks make my eyes disappear

Eye Shape: Asian (because I AM Asian)

Eye Color: Extremely dark brown

Hair Color: Extremely dark brown

Current Hairstyle: to my chest, really long bangs, and weirdly wavy (you wouldn't say its wavy but not straight either, it's like...square wavy....?)

Wanted Guidelines: If it requires straightening, waving, or curling, or something like that, then it has to be brushing shoulders or above. If it doesn't require any altering using heat or stuff, then anything is fine. But for both lengths, it could be sophisticated, and maybe catching boys' attentions, and not too short like this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Hyuky6N2uaE/TV8paTXIQ1I/AAAAAAAAAC4/EVkm2AtNwfg/s1600/Pixie+cuts.jpg, it should be longer than that.

THANKS for the help! I really would like a new hairstyle, so please help me! :)
