Men’s jeans sizing - Page 2

Those are definitely too long and really loose/baggy like everyone is saying. Jeans that are too long or baggy just look sloppy. If you're trying to go for a slimmer look we can recommend some other jeans. Do you want a straight leg or slightly tapered? Are you looking for laid back or a bit more sophisticated? Personally I love RRL Low Straights. Levi's 514's also work well and 511's surprisingly do too and have a nice tapered leg (Don't let the "skinny" worry you they aren't that skinny) The RRL's can be had ~$100 and Levi's ~$40. Also Levi's 501 Shrink to Fit may work well for you, -1 waist and +2-3 inseam on the STF's. Also when buying jeans go for snug fit in the waist, seat, etc. Jeans stretch to you and you'll be fine after a few hours of wear.

I am so used to wearing loose and relaxed fit jeans and definitely want to try something slimmer. I am open to both straight leg or slightly tapered. I also prefer laid back styling.

I got a gift card for Lucky Brand. I want to nail the sizing down on the Lucky Brand 221 Original Straights and then I'll start exploring other brands. I am going to the Lucky Brand store today to try the 30s. It's either that or hem the 32s. Thanks for the help.

Try on some slim ones while you're there. I had some Slim Bootcut Luckys a few years ago which were great.

I just left the Lucky Brand store. Tried on the 30s. They fit just right, almost too short. I am going to stick with the 32s. The sales associated suggested washing on gentle cycle cold and then drying on low heat. She said they should shrink about 1/2". Hopefully that turns out to be an ideal length. If not, then I'll have them hemmed. Or should I wear them for a while and then wash and dry? Any tips on washing and drying jeans?

I am getting into the this jeans thing. The mall I was at yesterday is a very high end mall. I passed by the Seven for All Man Kind store. Didn't have time to stop in there. I checked their website. They have some nice jeans!
