I would advise he goes to HBS, and if he wanted a tech/startup path, should have applied to Stanford GSB.

sloan << hbs but sloan + a CS degree is a tough call. i guess if he is really interested in CS then do that, if not do HBS

I don't think CS is strictly an option; I think there's a hybrid of sorts that he can take in the systems engineering department

then its a clear choice, and mind-boggling. HBS is not the insta ticket to riches some are implying though ... don't they pump out 900 grads a year or something?

It's actually a ridiculously dumb statement. There are many good reasons to choose HBS over Sloan but the fact that you cannot name any successful companies started by Sloan graduates is indicative only of your own ignorance. There are lots and lots of them as a previous poster mentioned.

Isn't Harvard business school the best there is? Well, at least some survey from Princeton said so anyway.

If I were to get accepted to Harvard, I wouldn't even doutb about attending in a second!

I don't think its the best based on the surveys but its in the top 5 no doubt. I think the name alone is worth its weight in gold.
