Forgot to add measurements, BiG style:

waist 15
front rise 10.5
thigh at crotch 11
knee at 13 inches from crotch seam 8.2
leg opening 7.5

How much are these expected to stretch in the waist?

Cannot speak out of personal experience as this is my first pair of 710 (but i'm absolutely not new to japanese denim), but while some say one inch, there's a few pairs around that stretched way beyond that (have a look on samurai specific threads here and on SuFu).These fit me PERFECTLY at the waist post soak, so i'm confident i can size down and with some effort stretch a pair of 29 out at least one inch and a half in the waist

You can definitely get some stretch in the waist on these. I went TTS on mine, and I don't think I'd want to size down on them, but some daring people go down one. I'd say you can get 1 - 2 inches.
