looks real, those are meant to be removed like the white thread on suit jackets

exactly - see what I hate is when people think buying shirts for cheap is dumb... I am a partier I dont worry about messing up a shirt, hell I dont care about taking it off and leaving it in a ditch when im to drunk, I try to pay low for shirts that look good if someone doenst understand that, then think again. I also have my beautiful robert graham tempe jacket to but hey I only wear that on dates... Leave the cheap shirts for the clubs..

Thanks again for a great answer

I bought this Brioni polo shirt as NWT on eBay and I am concerned that it might be a fake. My main concerns are:

1. The Brioni Neiman Marcus label is hanging by a thread. All my other Brioni shirts have the label securely stiched on all four sides, and it could not possibly come off. (My other Brionis are dress shirts, not polos, which might account for the difference).

2. The stitching on the buttons doesn't look as secure as I would have expected.

3. The "tag" seems suss. It was the only tag, and it was just looped over a button. It contains size translations, but does not include a translation for the actual marked size of the shirt - "L".

I have expressed my concerns civilly to the seller and he has said he bought the shirt in a job lot from NM and has never had queries about authenticity before. He seems to be relying on NM's reputation as his guarantee.

Here are some pics. Can you give me your opinions?

Thanks.

not sure how much it takes to convince you it's legit... the tag stitching coming off does happen, ESPECIALLY on sportswear. happens to many brands, nothing to worry about IMO. Especially say this because the buttons look legit, as does the tag. nothing suspicious anywhere in your photos.

Knit pieces (sweaters, etc) generally have tags tacked on, rather than fully sewn on along all four edges as they are with dress shirts. Its not at all unusual for that tacking not to hold very well

California Dreamer, that is definitely legitimate. I was a consignment shop once and had 2 Brioni sportswear polo's and both ironically had the same tag hanging off like yours. That is definitely 100% legit.

Looks authentic. Why do you want to buy these quite uncool jeans

? Even if they were free, you should not want them - particularly considering they are used. For all you know, the seller went commando in them and did not wash them very often.
