Johnny Quest, please do not purchase that backpack--it is terrible and should not be worn by any man ever.

i would never  buy any high quality brand without a receipt. btw. looks fake to me. barely used, some things look suspicious. does this guy looks like he could afford one? does he have a gucci store in his area? ask him when he bought the backpack.

Here's the sticker on the outside of the box. Googling 80309 BORDEAUX SCURO brings up a bunch of websites in foreign languages -- everything BUT Italian and English. Is that normal?

google the ID under that Bordeaux text.

The real issue is it's covered with branding, which is the #1 target for forgers, and lots of them are good. The ostentatiousness of that bag runs counter to the tastes of most members here, so it's unlikely to find anyone who could authenticate it. I honestly wouldn't buy anything that is so ripe for forging without a receipt.

Couple questions about this Burberry coat. First off, is it real? I can't see anything that would make me think it's fake, but who knows? It's made in China, which I know is one of the few places that Burberry produces items. Buttons and zipper seem legit enough. Second question: the jacket buttons like a mens coat, but the bulk of the zipper is on the left like a womens coat. I know some manufacturers do this, but I've never dealt with Burberry non-suit coats, so I'm unsure whether they are one of the places that have the zipper sides reversed. Mens coat?

thanks for any help.

So I decided to be self-sufficient and went to the Burberry site and saw that men's coats do in fact button and zip this way.

Opened them up and the leather feels like plastic. The lettering inside the shoe is embossed right in it (not on a tag/plate like the usual pairs I have purchased on Rodeo) and is missing the trademark symbol.

What do you guys think?

100% authentic. You purchased patent leather shoes - they are plasticy - that's what patent leather is. I had a pair with the exact same embossing from a store - so don't lose sleep over that.

Hard to tell - if they are fake they are good fakes. Wouldn't be surprised if there was one version out there that said "PRADA" on the back although I do find it weird. I have 3 pairs of America's Cups. I'm like 60% sure they are authentic.

Button, tags, hardware all looks good - most likely real - although they don't often work with that grubbier looking cotton - that's the only thing I find odd. Is this used?

Thanks! Yeah I found it for under $5 at goodwill and couldn't leave it even though it's huuuge. Probably gonna clean it up and throw it on eBay or give to a friend if I can think of someone it would fit. Thanks again.

Fake Brioni suit? (no working buttons on sleeves)

I just bought a pre-owned Brioni suit (Augusto model) from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171141537480#ht_9938wt_1101.

The lining and labels all look right, and the seller is a Top Seller Plus with a great rating (27593).  However, I noticed there are no buttonholes on the sleeves -- so they're just faux buttons.

Does this mean that it is a fake Brioni?

Can someone tell me if this sweater is authentic?

Thanks in advance
