Had a bargain on theese. It says "expressly made for Ed Meier". What's the manufacturer? The style is Italian, IMHO

That appears to Eduard Meier's classic peduform last. I know C&J and Alden have made for them, but those are throwing me a bit, not quite sure.

Need to know if this sheep skin Prada jacket is real or fake. The 2 front pockets are stitched loosely on the inside about 1-2 ". Other information I was able to pick up was that this was from 2013.  Button up, and the buttons do not say Prada on them.  The color is Caffe' and the main label has Prada with Milano underneath.  Just do not know what to make of this.  Thanks for any hlep you can give.

The reviews on eBay are pretty good but I'm not sure about the authenticity of the products. I'd be really interested in their Marinella ties if only I knew they were the real deal !

They apparently come with their original packaging.

What do you think about them ? Is it worst the risk ?

Hi Anthony; I've bought from the loft before - it's all been real and authentic.

Tags look legit and the labels do wear like that, especially if the shirts too tight. (I know from unfortunate, fat, experience)

is this real or fake?

I feel confident saying that is fake. I've never seen a care tag look like that and I would expect it to also list the composition of the liner which is definitely not leather. Also when I look up at that CA number I get a cancelled company called Lou Batten Inc

Sniped this on eBay ($6 shipped). Unsure of its legitimacy.

The seller is, obviously, a Goodwill/Salvation Army scavenger: much of his inventory is marked 'pre-owned' (inc. this tie) and is of the red-label Brooks Brothers and JAB persuasion.

I have a Balmain sweatshirt bought from Matches Fashion. I compared the lettering as well the placement of 'Paris' from the tags of both items: not a perfect match, but that fact may not be conclusive as to the genuineness of the tie.

I contacted Balmain's eBoutique directly; they are beating around the bush with me. :P

This tie could be vintage, perhaps, or a brick-and-mortar exclusive? I don't want to immediately count it as fake, as (if it were) it's a strange item to counterfeit (almost equivalent to faking a Zegna dress - why 'fake' something that doesn't exist; where's the model/aesthetic coming from?).

Anyway, I know StyleForum (in general) doesn't care much for Balmain: I'm just asking for help.

Faithfully,

I was under the impression that, like Lanvin, lots of menswear for Balmain was made under licence by third parties, and is therefore all legit (ie., not counterfeit) or all unacceptable (ie. not genuinely made by the brand in question) depending on how you see it.

Like A/X is licensed or RL's 'Lauren' line is licensed. Yes, these are legitimate lines, even if they aren't overseen by their respective design houses, but products from these lines may themselves be counterfeited. For example, one may find both a real 'Lauren' tie and a fake one from a Goodwill store.

Thank you for your insight; I should have been more clear.

UPDATE: I requested a refund; I just don't trust the tie and the seller hadn't mailed it yet.

It... Kinda worked out? No losses on my end, anyway.

The Balmain eBoutique was more interested in games than in answering my question,

BALMAIN:
"Dear Madam, dear Sir,
Thank you for your email.
Please note that there is no tie at the boutique in Paris currently.
For your information, Pierre Balmain is our second line, more contempory."

I didn't ask anything about PB...

BALMAIN:
"Dear Madam, dear Sir,
For your information, we do not sell tie since several seasons.
Therefore, I am sorry to let you know that we don’t have this information."

I didn't ask anything about buying a new tie...

PAWZ:
"I understand... We're not communicating well.
Is this a real Balmain tie? Is this tie a fake or was this tie once available at a Balmain store (even if YEARS ago)?
Stated simply, I have never seen a Balmain tie; I do not know what one looks like; is this a real Balmain tie or a counterfeit?
If you know, please tell me."

Honestly, though, I've given up on the tie. I'm presently accepting the challenge of getting a straight answer from the eBoutique. XD

We all need a hobby, I guess.

I'm considering buying a Tom Ford Suit. The seller sent me a foto of the tag - can you verify that it's genuine? I thought there should be the name of the fit on it ("Base A, Base B, Base C, Base D") but there is only "Basic" written down in the middle. Also: There are five blind button holes on the sleeves, the last one (closest to the opening of the sleeve) is the longest - ist that normal for TF? Would really appreciate your help!

Legit Zegna for Tom Ford trouser tag so far as I can see. As for the buttonhole issue, I've seen that sort of embellishment before on TF items, sadly.
