been a lurker here for a while recently purchased a kiton branded suit from ebay wondered if anyone could confirm if its genuine or fake,im obviously hoping it to be genuine but only paid £26 so its no real biggie either way.

im hoping that ive learned some things from you guys so far my instincts are that it is genuine as the stitching under the collar looks to be done by hand stitching on pants pockets seem by hand too and the labels all seem correct as far as i am aware there was also some spare buttons in a kiton labelled bag in the pocket.

Thank you

thanks for the reply, the suit does have a very nice light airy feel to the fit ,tbh the suit being genuine is more a case of luck than judgement as the 2 pictures in the ad were very blury it also stated that there were many moth holes in the description without specifying where, size of the holes etc.basically the description was not going to encourage a good price.
when the suit arrived i was very pleased to see the holes are very tiny 3 on the inside of the jacket and a couple of pinhead sized barely visible ones in non noticeable areas.
ive picked up a few decent articles in a similar manner i think some sellers cant be bothered with the time and effort of detailed descriptions and get a bit fatigued if theyve already done several listings of other items and err on the side of caution and over emphasize faults for fear of negative feedback.
ive also picked up a couple of brioni jackets in a similar manner its interesting to compare the differences in brioni and kiton and peoples reactions from people that know absolutely nothing about clothes.
The kiton barely gets a second glance but several people that i know have commented that i look considerably taller when wearing the kiton without them directly noticing or attributing it to the suit itself.Maybe the true power of kiton is in the subtle nature of their tailoring.
Brioni on the other hand certainly wont go unnoticed anywhere ive had literal strangers come up and say "wow nice jacket"in some respects one needs to be pretty brave to walk around wearing brioni as they without doubt draw attention.
i find it intriguing that people who know little to nothing about clothes are noticing the differences even though they dont actually seem to be aware of it.

thanks for all the information and tips that i have learned from this and a few other sites and im very pleased to find its genuine.

Can anyone authenticate these Margiela Future 2013 Matte Black?

Unfortunately the only images I have, but opinions would be appreciated. Didn't realise Hermès had a sports line…

Viewing this during the week if people have any tips on what to look out for?

Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am new to the forum really, although read lots of articles and follow discussions on here regularly.

I've recently bought a new suit, and believe I got a bargain. It fits perfectly, with only slight trouser alterations needed and the quality does seem extremely high similar to my Richard James suits. I also have some Pal Zileri jackets and coats.

My question is, can anyone confirm authenticity? and perhaps provide year or details etc. As it says made in italy on one of the labels, but unlike some of the other examples I've seen the label doesn't also say this.

Here are my images, and any help would be very much appreciated for peace of mind, or a return.

Nick.

I spotted this Valetino Jeans sweatshirt in a vintage shop. I think it's from 80-90s, and I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Can anyone tell?

Thank you. How would you know what to look for? I thought the label would say made in italy as others do.

I could be wrong but I have handled my fair share of RLPL suits and the tags look perfect, stitching looks amazing, overall quality looks right. I just sold a cashmere one with the same interior tags. I know purple label is made by a few different tailoring houses but I'm not quite sure which one made that one. Maybe some else can jump in and tell you more

Well thank you anyway, I think for the price I've paid I'd keep it anyway as the way the suit falls is brilliant. Yeah if anyone can help point out where the labels are form, or year / place of origin it would be much appreciated
