I would do it, (and tell the friend.)

If he thinks you're a decent person, he will probably be happy that his sister is dating a guy who is not a jerk.

Just treat the girl well, and if it comes time to break up, then do it in such a way as to minimize the drama and damage.

If you were asking whether or not to date a friend's daughter, I'd say that would be a bit more difficult situation, but a sister, no problem.

For such inquiries, PM member Dakota_rube.

My first question, is this casual curiosity, a quick fling or are you really serious about your friend's sister as potential LTR material.

Never done it myself, suggestion, first find out if she's interested, two ever so carefully approach with tact and be up front, I'm interested in your sister. Now if you have a reputation of being the group player, you have no chance in hell.

OP isn't a good friend...
would you rather keep a friendship that you've had for many years or risk fucking it up for what could potentially be you want to bang some poon.

It's simple: are you an asshole? If you are, don't date his sister.

For most of the people I've ever met, that condition would be more succintly put as just "...don't date his sister."

Yes, and supplementary Man rule: if you date your mate's sister, you have to marry her.

So that might make it a "no" for you depending on your inclination...

I did not get the feeling that he was desperate, but maybe I am wrong. But I sincerely believe that people should have the right to love, that is if he is talking about love in this case of course, who ever they want to or whoever their heart falls for. No matter whose sister she is.

If you like the gal, then i would say follow your heart. But if this is just about sex and pussy, then please just let tell you dick you will let this one pass. And don't put your friendship in jeopardy.

I have done this. It worked out fine with about 6 months of awkwardness after the breakup. Stronger friendship with my buddy for it.

If you insist on dating the sister and want to keep your friend, the sister has to be the one who breaks up with you. Has to.
