the year after daniels took office. i grew up 2 miles from dst/non-dst line in nw indiana. its much nicer to always be 1 hr apart now than when it used to be on the same time 6 months a year and 1 hr off 6 months a yr

Maybe this doesn't bother anybody else, but I work a lot with multiple timezones, and few people seem to pick up that the abbreviations change, so PST switches to PDT for example. I know it's trivial, but for some reason, it grates on me as much as most common grammar mistakes.

So I could get over myself, or we could drop DST. I vote we drop it, as the extra hour of sleep would help me be less cranky about other things as well.
