This quite honestly might be the nicest suit I've ever handled, and I've handled lots of them: An Oxxford navy flannel pinstripe suit (Type A two-button coat and Radcliffe flat front trouser). This is from Wilkes Bashford, and the original price was $4,995.
MY PRICE = $999 $925 CONUS (will ship in oversized box) (+$15 Canada, $30 elsewhere).
We all know Oxxford's quality, but I'm not sure how many people know the "Type A" model. In my own humble opinion, it's very Neopolitan: Incredibly soft shoulders, narrower through the body and shoulders, side vents, and slightly shorter coat. Lots of sprezz.
The Radcliffe plain front trouser is a perfect pairing with the coat: Slighly shorter rise than other Oxxford models and slimmer in the thigh and knee.
Here are the measurements:
Measurements of Coat:
Chest 45" (actually a fraction under 45", but I'm rounding up)
Waist 41" (measured across the waist at the top button)
Shoulder 18.75"
Top of collar = 31.5"
Sleeve = 25" basted (sleeve buttons included)
Measurements of Trousers:
Waist 37"
Rise 11"
Thigh 13.25"
Knee 10.25"
Hem 9"
I apologize for the average quality of the pictures, but the lighting in my house isn't the greatest and so the color is a bit washed out in some shots. In terms of the base color, the navy pinstripe on page 2 of the new Phinneas Cole catalogue (shot of guy with his left hand on the block) is roughly the same. http://paulstuartcatalog.richfx.com....e_Spring_2011/
The pinstripe color seems to be a silvery-grey. The close up picture of the pants probably gives the most accurate depiction of the pinstripes.
