A perfectly dimpled necktie is a natural aphrodisiac!?

This whole time I've been assuming it was my good looks and charming personality.

Dressing well is about the process. It's about learning and overcoming difficulties. It's about doing it the only correct way, which is how our grandfathers did it. Dressing well is about working with what you have, achieving the best result and being responsible for the failures and victories. Above all, dressing well is about teaching yourself discipline, neatness, skill and attention to details. Therefore, I do not approve of the tie dimpler. I'd rather re-do my ties 20 times, but do it with my own hands and be proud of the result.

The engineering to make this happen, genius I tell you! Thank God I live in modern times.

Impressive indeed. Next thing you know they'll invent a machine to magically press & crease trousers.

Poppycock! Such a machine can never exist.

I threw up a little in my mouth after viewing that website.

Looking at their little video is interesting. They don't solve the problem of the tie not wanting to form the dimple initially. This supposes you can get the dimple in there, and this holds it in place. For me, when I have an issue it is because a tie does not want to dimple initially, or forms a side dimple.

I suspect the product was secretly created by Charvet to accelerate the snagging and destruction of their ties, therefore artificially boosting the demand for replacement units.

I like to leave mine on the tie, even after making the dimple. Sprezz master level = 9

I'll play devil's advocate here. It doesn't come across as the worst thing I could own. I can usually tie a necktie w/ a dimple well when I want. However, there are some materials/linings that do not hold a dimple well. I, for one, tend to prefer a dimple in my tie. This item could work in those situations.

Sure, you could buy all ties made of the best material w/ seven folds and quality lining that tie a great knot and hold a dimple.

Why do we use removable collar stays? Why not sew collar stays or a heavy lining into the collar points?

P.S. In the Webelos (part of Cub Scouts) handbook, 4th and 5th boys are still taught how to tie a necktie. I think they should not earn that award unless there's a damn fine dimple in that necktie and the tip of the tie just touches the top of their belt buckle!

I prefer to date synchronized swimmers and borrow her nose clip for my tie dimples.

Without her trusty nose clip, she may well bubble and sink,

but damn, my tie dimple will look good all day long.
