This cloth is by no stretch of the imagination a hard-wearing cloth. It shows wear and abrasion anywhere where there's been friction, there's several pulls (I actually have never seen pulls in suiting cloth before), a small hole at a tension stitching point (trousers pocket), and it actually ripped (not unstitched, ripped) when one of my boy grabbed me by the hip pocket (he's 3, so not exactly the Hulk) - once again, first time this ever happened to me.
So I'm not joking when I say it's fragile

Is this Carlo Barbera for H. Lesser?

Nope. It was from the HL 9/10 oz book. Made a couple of years ago

Lesser Tropical is 8/9. Do you mean the HL 9/10 super 120 with cashmere? That is supposed to be softer.

I don't think there's any cashmere in that cloth. 9/10 oz wool

Even more fragile than the wool/mohair fresco PRL suit I bought from you? (I ended up giving it away, btw. Thought you'd be pleased).

You bought a suit from me? I don't remember... confused.gif

I picked it up from your doorman. Search gdlsuit001 for a pic of me wearing it.

here is a bad closeup:

It is a shame the picture will be removed from this thread. What a shame.

Indeed.

I guess the doorman forgot to give gdl the money for the suit. Tisk, tisk, no Christmas gift this year.

I have no recollection of this - my subconscious must be blocking the episode...

I also don't have a doorman (unless it was at my office?)

It was a highrise in the 40s IIRC, the suit had pasta sauce stains on one sleeve. I bought it via eBay, must be 4-5 years ago when you were still into Polo suits. The waist was nipped. I paid via paypal and we decided I could come by and pick it up. I just knew it was you. Thus I named it the "gdl" suit. I was bigbris1 then so I understand the confusion. This was before the crimson-collared stalker-on-Madison incident, I believe.
