I am guessing that is 501, one shade darker than 500. I have 501 myself.

Wtvr it is, color looks great, I think that's definitely the first fresco fabric I would get if I were to get any at all

My fresco envy is kicking into overdrive.

That tie is really nice, do you mind revealing the maker?
Btw nice to see some more contribution to one of my favourite threads.

Great looking tie! Who designed/made it? Also is that a Cavendish knot that you tied? Looks great! Especially with the shirt collar. Well done!

Thank you very much

It is an Emma Willis tie (made by Drake's). I prefer the EW selection to most of the normal Drakes assortment, as they are 9cm

The knot is a double-FIH. I would normally go for a FIH, but this tie is actually quite lacking in body, and unusually long

Drakes ties in 9 cm sound like perfection to me. Too bad the tie selection on EW's website leaves a lot to be desired

gdl203 - I like that tie, looks like Drakes. I asume the stripes on the shirt are green too, a little hard to see on my monitor.
Regarding the Drakes width, I find their standard 8cm too narrow also, especially at the knot area. One can order bespoke ones on their webste and select more than 8cm width. The Armory and suitable wardrobe also use to carry 9cm if I'm not misstaken.

Yes it's a Drakes tie. Shirt stripes are blue though.

Love that striped grenadine gdl. Have been kicking myself for not getting it a while back

It infuriates me that Drakes - who I consider excellent in every other way - insist on not selling rtw ties wider than 8cm, and many of the best designs only in 7cm. Special orders are fine, but ties are most satisfying as impulse purchases

Emma Willis has a very good selection in her store - but mainly prints, and some wovens. They don't really have any cashmeres (only plains), shantungs or grenadines
