Whimsical thoughts that flitted across my mind, over a lunchtime espresso.... does a light grey houndstooth suit every qualify as conservative business dress, if all the other details are conservative enough? Now that Bin Laden is dead, this is surely the most pressing question facing the free world...

I don't know, but you look pretty sharp HF. Nothing like a solid navy tie to pull things together.

Neat suit, Banis. Maybe because it's flannel, I don't mind the camicia shoulder. It's kinda "relaxed business" if that makes sense.

The way I see it, conservative business dress always has to be analyzed in the context of what/where your business is. If your business is conducted in a bank or a court house, this is probably not conservative business dress. If you business is conducted in a lecture hall, where usually sweatshirts are considered 'appropriate', I don't see why not. Whether seeing your outfit here pleases Manton, remains to be seen, but I have a hunch

Would this be peaked or shawl? DB (usually) gets two as a nod to its riding origins, but you wouldn't want two holes on a shawl.

Sometimes I worry that banis is going to get hit by a car.

Another BB sack. Now with more color. Suit is olive, despite how the pics look. Shirt sleeves a bit long - need to move the button.

Thanks! I don't know about fabric of the shirt. It was MTM from Finamore and I have forgotten asking about fabric. If I remember, I will ask next time. As for the gorge, it is what was decided by Mina because I did not want to micromanage my first order and wanted to see how everything would turn out.

Friday casual business dress: blue blazer, blue puppytooth shirt, olive shot silk tie, grey slacks.

Today: 90 degrees in San Diego. First chance I've had to wear this suit which arrived at the beginning of an unusually cold fall.
