Someone from SD and actually dresses like this? Surprised.

In your pics, it was hard for me to make out the details, to see how the tie relates to the shirt and to the suit stripe and square. From what I can tell, it looks like a red tie on a blue small check shirt. That can make for a good pairing, despite what Manton might say, but the red looks bright for my tastes. Shirt collar is nice but would like to see some linen at the cuffs. Might be how you're standing. I dig the shoes, but would like them more in a more casual fit. For CBD, I like a bal. The second set of pics looks much better than the first.
Thanks, Doc. This is pretty much the only CBD fit that I have other than rearranging shirts ties and squares so your thoughts will help me to bring it all a little closer to a finished product. Next time I wear it, I'll make certain that I have custody of the digital camera that was hijacked that day, leaving me with only the camera phone. I chose the footwear more for color than style so I'll revisit that as well. As if I need more shoes! The tie was chosen to be purposefully over-bright to counter recent over reliance on earth tones that I have stocked into my wardrobe, apparently in error. The cuffs, as noted, show better when I am not fidgeting with shutters and such. Again, thanks for the assistance.

The PS was another violation -- wanted to pick up the check in the shirt, but called too much attention to itself. Plain linen would have been better, IMHO.
I went back and forth from that P.S. (you correctly gauged my intent regarding the shirt) to a white before deciding that white, while never wrong, would not push the edge of CBD. I wanted to find a limit and stop against it without going past. Looks like a new set of brake pads might be in order. Thanks for the defense of the pic quality, which I will readily acknowledge, is sorely lacking. And thanks for the critique.

seconded. when i first saw the photo, I thought how good the fuller (which is to say, rather standard) cut looked.
