That DB doens't look tweed to me, looks flannel. It's nice. I'd have worn a quieter tie.

Thanks. I'd describe the colour as more wine than purple (the close up is truer than the full length shot, but it's not a true burgundy).

The square is way too funky.
Not a fan of the tie. I pretty much don't like self-striped anything. I'm sure there is an exception somewhere but at present I can't think of one.

Fair enough

The square is a simple map print of London.
The tie is a wool/silk blend with a more pronounced textural contrast beetween the fuzzyness of the wool and the silk - It probably won't make you like it any more.

I like the idea of that actually. Can you take a pic of the whole thing?
The way it's displayed now, I thought it was some tribal print.

Finally a day without important meetings! I'm so not CBD today - and I can't even count the number of ways I'm breaking rules and SF consensus (forgive me father Manton) - but I got used to stopping by here so I will place this NCBD day in spoiler tags à la Holdfast.

The jacket, as has already been said, is awesome. The shirt is great because the pattern looks pixellated up close and it just looks really interesting to my eye. The outfit is probably CLD (L = leisure) more than CBD, but perhaps fits within the broad definition of CBD as has been established in this thread.

I'd say LBD since I am actually at work today.
Grey solid jacket, crazy plaid shirt, spread button-down collar, no tie with the sport coat, a pocket square without a tie, argyle socks and frankenshoes. I think I covered a lot of no-no's here
But you make a good point that I could definitely have added navy trousers in the mix

Not sure what the bigger sin is - navy pants or the grey jacket. I'll go with the navy pants because I'm wearing a grey jacket today.
