RTW suit in London around GBP500

I'm trying to find a good source in London for my next suit.

Previously I bought one from SuitSupply ( http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=179169 ) for about GBP300; while I like the cut and soft shoulders, it hasn't worn quite as well as my other stuff, and their latest NSFW advertising campaigns have put me off.

Austin Reed suits have a very built-up shoulder which I find hard to warm to, however that's the Brit style. I understand the higher-end Charles Tyrwhitt stuff isn't worthwile.

I'm looking for something slim, modern, and at least half-canvassed. Suggestions welcome!

Have a look at Ede and Ravenscroft, especially at sale time. You might go slightly over £500, but you get a second pair of trousers, which might obviate your wear issues.

their RTW is very trad british (high, pleated, braced trousers), but still quite clean and sharp in overall effect.

[must stop shilling for E&R, but I really love the product]
