Alden QC: Would you be happy with receiving this pair of shoes?

I was very happy to see a box from Leffot this morning, with Alden's shell/calf saddle shoes inside.

That is... until I put them on.



How can Alden possibly not notice the multi-shade difference in the shell color between the two shoes?

So now I am stuck with either keeping these, or sending them back for a refund. But I love the design and there is not another pair in stock.

I may be done with Alden...

I'd return, unless you really like the design, in which case send them back and see if they can somehow fix them.

im trying to tell if this is serious or not....

Is this 2 different pairs of shoes? If not, and this is truly ONE pair of shoes...id be PISSED. thats a huge difference. Ive yet to get a pair of aldens...but all the shit i keep hearing about the current QC is enough to make me spend my money elsewhere. Personally i would send em back and have leffot send you another pair of shoes from a different maker.

I am one whom, doesn't mind spending whatever on myself ( I know I deserve it ), however I expect to receive what I pay for. I'd send them back with a nasty note and a follow up call, raising hell. and I would certainly call the president of Alden, and also raise hell along w/ an e-mail w/ the pics. ( I always believe in making complaints, starting at the top, and skip the small change at the lower ladder positions.

you should be thanking Alden, saddle shoes are so god awful that any excuse to send those back for a refund should be welcome.

Why be so antagonistic? It's a mistake. Sure, a mistake that should have been caught at multiple places along the way, but not that big a deal. The store could email a UPS return label and send out a replacement pair without a need for nasty calls and emails.

I agree with this. I just hope my $25 shipping fee to get them to me will be refunded as well...
