Naked & Famous Weird Guy Grey Selvedge Denim Size 32 - NEW & NEVER WORN

Decided to keep these in the end. I was originally gonna size down to a 31 but i think the 31's are too small for me so now i have those up for sale instead. Made a new thread for them instead of editing this as this thread is a bit of a mess with all the sizing questions below. I have full measurements so hopefully there won't be any confusion in the new for sale thread located here: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=232234

Is the waist on this seriously 32" when held taut? It's supposed to be 34". I need to seriously reconsider my thoughts on sizing Weird Guys.

not it's 34" if the waist is pulled so that front waist do not dip

I think they will stretch to 33-34". They measure 16" across the back waistband when laid flat. I just doubled the measurement to get 32". Another price drop btw - Now only $100 shipped.

I'm just saying that the "laid flat" measurement isn't worth much if the "held taut" measurement is 34". The standard is to hold it tight. Not that it can't be 32" when held tight due to material and machine variation...

Standard is NOT to hold tight. In fact, I've always seen people giving laid flat, aligned or dipped, measurements.

The standard is held tight / aligned but it does not surprise me that you have seen measurements commented as LAID FLAT and DIPPED. That does not make it the norm and it is not how the majority of webstores measure their denim.

so whats the exact size after all this commotion?

I have 3 pairs of weird guys all size 32 and they are ideal for people who take 34-36. IE: this guy has a pair of 32 black weird guys and his measurements are 18 across the waist http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=231424
