Ice Hockey - Page 36

^Reffing has been awful though, only major blemish on the whole thing. Wings are through! Betting they take Chicago in 6. But you never know, the Hawks have beaten two solid teams so far. Just heard on TSN that Mark Recchi has been suffering from kidney stones throughout this series, which is obviously incredibly painful. After Walker sucker-punched Aaron Ward in game 4, he went over to the bench to get the trainer to remove the visor from his helmet and then challenged every Cane he could find to a fight. Scored in game 5. Scored in game 6. Had surgery last night, and is playing tonight in game 7. 41 years old. That is one tough son of a bitch.

Icredible game sevens tonight. No better sport than hockey. Little nervous about the Hawks facing Detroit but I think we've gained some major confidence. A Boston/ Chicago final would be great!

This is a great overtime period.

Ughhh Carolina. Anyone but Carolina.

please people tell me you hate crosby...

it's too bad the bruins couldn't get by carolina. the hawks/wings series will be a good one, but i think the wings win in 5. the pens will win, setting up a rematch of last years finals.

if detroit gets rolling, like they have done before in the past, none of the teams left can stop them.

I don't understand the Carolina hate. Boston should have played harder if they wanted to win the series.

It's pretty simple for me. They beat the oilers for the stanley cup.

Yeah... but Eric Staal and Cam Ward ARE their team. So they might as well be team Canada! No I wish Philly had come out of the east. That's a Canadian team. Too many injuries though. Chicago Detroit should be a good series.

datysuk needs to step up. hard to believe that we won the series with him having 0 goals and 3 assists.

LOL Detroit-Pittsburgh final again... and let's see Hossa lose in the final again.

He played a good game tonight. You have to remember that he and Zetterberg are also checking forwards. That's why they're so ridiculously good. Even if they're not scoring that doesn't mean they're not helping the team win.

no, i totally agree. he is one of the best. he makes it look so effortless at times, which is why i think people give him a hard time here on not producing. people aren't seeing the big picture of what he all does. Z played like an MVP tonight. he was all over the place. i don't want to look too far ahead, but it'd be nice to see another malkin/crosby vs. datsyuk/zetterberg showdown again. essentially the same teams, except now we have hossa. just doesn't seem fair at times that the wings management can pull off having Lidstrom, Franzen, Zetterberg, and Datsyuk locked up on contract and probably will get Hossa to sign an offer.
