Ice Hockey - Page 29

... Which again makes him the most valuable player to his team than anyone else, as I said. It doesn't make him the best player in the world. How much he plays and how few guys he has around him doesn't make him better than other people at hockey. Datsyuk is simply a better all around player because he's significantly better defensively, whether other people he plays with are good or not is irrelevant to that evaluation.

Yes, I knew that is what you said. I just had to put in my two cents. I really have nothing better to do nowadays since the Flyers got killed.

I swear to god, if the Caps lose tomorrow I will flip out. THis series has been complete BS.

BTW, as a huge Caps fan, I obviously think Ovie is the most valuable player to his team. Clearly had he not missed those games that he did, he would've gotten the scoring title. That said Datsuyk's stats are ridiculous and he should be regarded as the best player in hockey this year.

being healthy is part of being an MVP, why has the series been ridiculous?

I would think he is referring to the two own-goals in overtime. But as usual, that is how most overtimes end... lucky bounce in someone's favour.

I cant see overtime goals or unlucky bounces as complete BS, thats part of the game. I assume he is talking about the reffing, which has been pretty solid (for the new NHL at least)

That first goal was all varlamovs fault. If he was square to the shooter that would have been a routine save.

Big goal for the Red Army.
