Ice Hockey - Page 90

Well that goal last goal said it all. Need to start looking for a goalie again. Congrats to the Blackhawks, you bastards.

Blackhawks win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have waited a long time for this. Wish we could have won it in Chicago, especially since the Phily fans were being such douchebags.

I knew Chicago was going to win.

HOW CLASSY was Toews giving the cup to Hossa before Sharp ? What a great day. I kind of flinched when Christobel Huet touched it.. as if they could somehow take it away just because he contaminated it. How often does a rookie goalie come in 2 months into the season and win a stanley cup? SOLID EFFORT Antti Niemi!

and you think chicago fans would be cheering during the trophy presentation if philly won it in game seven in chicago.

i'm surprised the fans even stayed for it.

I was at the game that Pitt won the Cup in Chicago. People didn't boo when trophy's were presented.

For the next couple of days, I am switching my avatar from the Habs hottie to the Blackhawks logo in honor of their first Stanley Cup since 1961 - well done Hawks!

Very sportsmanlike - but I miss the boobies

Rolling my eyes at the continued stereotyping of philly fans. That rep will never be shaken.

Congrats, the Hawks were pretty clearly the better team. Hope the Flyers can regroup (maybe trade Carter, maybe settle down the goal situation with a clear #1) and maybe get a higher seed next year. Right now I'm pretty happy (not satisfied, exactly, but pretty happy) with what they did in the playoffs and finals, considering their reg season. Especially pleased with the emergence of Ville Leino, Briere doing what he was supposed to, etc. Leighton is taking a beating in Philly right now.

Not quite as douchey as making stuff up on an Internet forum.

Yep, fair weather fans always have something to say when "their" team wins something.

So.. Casual - are you a Flyers fan? That's a little weak considering you live in a market with 2 teams... I understand nobody is an islanders fan... If it weren't for the Grateful Dead, the Nassau Colosseum would have been leveled in the 80s. Now, I have no issue at all with the Rangers... They gave us Tony Amonte.... You don't see enforcers like that every day. But if there are Hawks fans who are a little "fair weather", it might have something to do with the fact that old-man wurtz would not put the team on TV. It's hard to have interestin a team that's never on TV. I used to work in Detroit a few days a week, and I honestly rooted for the wings until Rocky took over. But when he did... he hired McDonnough, drafted Kane and Toews, and made the United Center a destination for something other than basketball. Don't be a sore loser.
