What to wear to a beach concert.

Well when i say beach concert I don't mean by the beach. It's actually held in a pub near the beach. It's for Far East Movement. If any of you guys have been to Wavehouse in Singapore, that's the one.

I don't have the body to take my shirt off. So I'm kind of in a dilemma. I'm thinking of going with some boat shoes, a long sleeve gingham and a chino or should I go with a grey V neck with either chinos or Bermudas.

It's summer all year round in Singapore The concert is in the night though.

Please advice!

Do you live in Singapore? Have you ever been there?
While I've never been to Singapore, I've lived in Malaysia for 6 months. For most clubs in KL, the dress code is no shorts and no open shoes (eg flipflops), collar optional. My friends went to ZoukOut 2010 (Tiësto, Guetta, etc.) and I believe they wore the same clothes and were fine. As for the weather, don't wear a sweater.

I'm from Singapore! I've been to Wavehouse once, but I was there to chill not a concert. Well it's an open air club that has sand on the floor so dress code doesn't apply there. Even the bartenders are in Bikini.

That came to my mind too. Right now I'm more inclined to V neck and berms. Don't wanna stick out like a sore thumb.

ikr!

re OP's question: i've never heard of wavehouse having a "dress code" because having a dress code in a venue where there's sand is just stupid. standard beachwear (v-neck/singlet, beach shorts slippers) should be fine, unless specified.

vneck/singlet and some light weight shorts

Wear what ever in which you feel comfortable and that does not show up your body or stomach as you put it that is not very good to see again as you put it.

But since you say it is hot, then wear something light.

Tank top, board shorts, sneakers will do.
Then wear your felt lapel flower pin somewhere inconspicuous so that should you come across a well dressed iGent, his eye for detail can spot it and acknowledge where your actual allegiance lies and that you are actually going deep undercover in enemy territory.
