Korean BBQ would be a nice way to have a welcome back to meat party with your friends; you can kinda throttle the amount of meat you eat by balancing it with the lettuce and rice wrappers, and you get the pleasure of grilling that **** on your own. It's about the most visceral, primordial way to eat meat if you can find a place that does it on coals. All about the basics.

First, congrats on a return to the fold. As to what food? There can only be one answer:

foie gras.

Does not have to be much, just 3-4 bites, but it will be wonderful and satiating.

OP mentioned his girl as part of the reason. So I feel shots for her (and him no doubt as he's a mooch) are in order.

Piob- do you realize Magician is quite poor? I say he should go to that Japanese restaurant and indulge in sashimi.

+1

how about some good ham or salami?

I think that you need to be staying away from the overly fat stuff in your first few meals, that might cause the distress.

Humans are not biological omnivores. The risk of eating raw meat is one clue.

But we've been cooking meat for long enough to have adapted to it being in our diet.

It's a tolerance, omnivorous by behavior. Biologically humans are herbivores.

Any risk of eating raw meat comes mostly from the conditions in which that animal was raised. Under the right circumstances, even chicken can safely be consumed raw. Humans are most certainly omnivorous.
