I wouldn't accept it, especially on what appears to be an unlined coat

I would contact them and tell them, that isn't right.

I appreciate these responses, but what is a suitable request to remedy this?

As the old saying goes, a picture tells a thousand words. But I'd just send a polite email saying you've noticed this, it's a brand new jacket blah blah. I'm sure a company like PJ will be filling to fix it up or re-make the coat.

Fox,

I'm usually pretty easy-going but in a case like this, I'd ask for the jacket to be re-made, particularly as it's an unlined jacket.

Sure, it may be the fault of the alterations person that P.Johnson used, rather than P.Johnson's original tailor in Italy or wherever they may be, but it still comes down to the fact that someone contracted by P.Johnson put a hole in your new jacket and so it now has an imperfection.

Therefore, if it were me, I'd ask P.Johnson to take the jacket back and to either make you a new one, or (perhaps more likely) have that panel of cloth replaced.

Just had a call from them. They offered to remake it, or credit me with the amount for a jacket to my next order. I've opted for the latter. Obviously they've dealt with this well. They were very apologetic even though I don't think they knew about it before sending it out.

Good customer service. :)

In my experience with them, their customer service is exceptional.

How willing is PJ to make a something that doesn't fit like a wetsuit? The styling on their tumblr puts me off trying them. I understand they are going for young and playful, but how can anyone take  this seriously?

I think he forgot to pop his coat collar.

To be fair Porter is a bigger guy. No suit is going to turn him into Michael Angelo's David.

That's even more worrying - a good suit should be flattering regardless of body size or type (sure, sure within limits). Is skin-tight really the way to go in this case? Surely something like this raises red flags for prospective customers?
