Sure, there are hole in the wall type places that are good but you'd be missing out on some great food at the other well known places. For instance, the ones listed above are very good but very well known by tourists. Try Cochon as well.
Was just in NO for the first time.
Luke has the best shrimp and grits in town. IMO
Cochon is a must.
August is good if you want the real fine dining experience.
NOLA was riding past glory.
Don't worry about "touristy", NO is a tourist town.
Focus on good.
