Well, I'm finally getting down to planning out this route for this insane year-long motorcycle trip across the continental United States that I'll be embarking on at the end of September. I have a general route down that will take me through all 48 contiguous states. Now I'm just looking to fill up a Google Earth file with awesome places to see or go or experience in any of them.
Also, please keep in mind in this thread that I'm on a shoestring budget so everything should be cheap or free, which will probably eliminate 90% of the possibilities, knowing this forum.
So, this thread is insanely general, because I'm asking for a crazy amount of information over such a huge area, but what it boils down to is: where have you been in the continental US that was really awesome and would recommend that I visit?
Also, I'm planning on sampling a beer or two from each state, as I'm a beer freak. Any suggestions on that end?
