Thanks. I usually always serve my asparagus whole, I'll have to try that next time. I made a frisée salad with crumbled blue cheese and walnut vinaigrette to go with it. I usually am not a huge fan of blue cheese, but I used St. Agur Blue, which is especially delicious.

I can't believe you can get fresh morels at a *#&%ing Von's when I can't get anything more exotic than a shitake at Fairway, one of America's best grocery stores.

Oh I was joking. You lived in Los Feliz right? The Vons that I didn't actually buy those morels from is probably the same one you wouldn't have bought them from in the 90s. They were purchased at the Hollywood Farmer's Market and are from further North, but I've heard of people finding them in the San Bernadino Mts as early as December. Our resident mycologists may protest.
