Any tips to reduce muscle asymmetry?

I recently started doing StrongLifts and I'm starting to run into a fairly sizable problem: The right side of my upper body is vastly stronger than my left. Furthermore, my left arm's range of movement is hilariously poor. This is starting to inhibit my ability to add weight per workout. Is there a good method of catching up the weaker side? At the moment I'm stopping my sets and resting if/when my left side gives out...which is probably completely wrong.

i think if you just keep doing the workout you should be ok. if you cant add more weight because one arm can't do it then keep doing the workout until that arm can do it and the other arm in the meanwhile will just be at maintenance

is what i think

without any evidence

1) Switch to dumbbells 2) Start with your weak side 3) if you can only do X number of sets per weak side then only do that number for the strong side. If you stick to this eventually you'll catch up. But you've spent your whole life being righthanded. Using a barbell your strong side will help out. You likely don't even notice this.

if you are a beginner chances are your weak side will catch up after a little while.

Use dumbbells, they'll help you have better form after a while anyway and only work till your weak side is fatigued.

I have a similar problem because I play tennis and workout. So my right arm is a bit huge compared to my left arm, I don't mind though because that's how most tennis players are. But when I do pushups or pull ups, I try and put a little more resistance on my weak side by shifting my weight...not sure if it helps.

+1, you don't need to completely switch over to dumbbells. You'll even out over time, don't over-think it. Continue to go as planned and only do as much as your weak side.

keep working out the muscles the same way and work on your form. The symmetry will even out in time and you might look like arnold one day. You must think like a sculptor does. We are artists, sculpting our bodies.
