Boots for tapered/skinny jeans

I have a new pair of jeans (Dior Homme 19cm), which are on the skinny side.

I used to love wearing boots, but I find they look too large with skinny jeans. Are there any styles of boots that one can pull off with tapered/skinny jeans or do you have to wear the boots "outside" the jean? That's pretty intense for me.

No, boots are fine with skinny jeans. Your boots are probably bulky. Really, any slim dress boot works like Aldens, Paul Smith Ricards, anything sleek and non-bulk.

are your jeans like punk rock skinny? or just on the tighter side? i think thinner pointy boots should work, how about these c&j, too big? http://www.barneys.com/Northcote/500...efault,pd.html

it depends. if your feet are to big it might look awkward ... im not saying you do

maybe check these out for inspiration.

Thanks - are Ricards still being made? I didn't see them on Paul Smith's website. I like a lot of his stuff!

I'm a 9.5 (American), and only 5'6", so I'm pushing.

yeah, those diet butcher slim skins above are so fucking cool but i could never pull them off.

This thread could easily appear in the ask a equation sticky, but I'm also curious what kind of brands folks focus on that wear well with crazy tapered or slim fit jawnz. I myself am just entering the dior phase, and definitely trying to plan for some slimmer stuff that I'm going to need to buy. Other suggestions for boots/ streatwear shoes (not sneakers, have too many) are very welcome.
