What is a "Collection Inquiry"?

I get a letter in the mail saying I have a collection inquiry on my credit bureau report, so I pull up the report myself. There's no "collection inquiry" on my report though.

I tried googgling collection inquiry but nothing comes up.

Never seen that on a credit report before when I did collections. What they list is who requested a copy of your credit report. There are 3 major credit reporting agencies so you may want to check with another.
