On a related note, a girl from my high school class died from drunk driving her freshman year of college. She was going 90 mph at 2:30 in the morning during an icy January when she lost control. Shocking. Inevitably, parents of her classmates looked in the high school yearbook to see who she was, where they were greeted with her senior quote "Make your knees touch your elbows." It's not quite a philosophical manifesto, but a poignant quote nonetheless.

didn't mitch die pre-fb? it's just a friend of a friend. the first post i read of his was about his thesis on meta humor, entitled [Insert Funny Title Here]. haven't read it in a couple years bu your post made me remember it.
