How and why to live in a small (8x10) room. - Page 4

you need a bed bro, or at least a futon on wooden slats that is propped up on milk crates (this was my solution during college years and sex functioned just fine).

i basically sat in bed with a wooden plank angled against the wall when i needed to get some work done and typed on the computer which was outputting to my 60" tv at the foot of the bed. pretty sick setup.

Look this up on craigslist: loft bed. Essentially it's a normal bunk bed with the bottom bunk removed. What this means is that you can mount your TV in the bottom bunk space then situate a small chair across and still have plenty of room

Wow!! I found this insulting and the mother of all generalizations.

But I think you will be happy in there if not you could just become an Asian and you will pull it off great.

Have fun in your "tiny Asian room".

agreed. that said, this dude's stocked his apartment with (seemingly) half of design within reach's catalogue; that's a lot of $$$s on a space that size.

I like the idea of streamlining and all...but you can achieve the same effect with twice the square footage with some willpower. The tiny studio only works if you don't have hobbies that require some extra space (my bikes would not be happy in that space and cooking for 3-5 people becomes difficult).
