S. Sassetti were thrown in the mix a couple of years ago and IMHO not great value for the charge.
Good deal on the Grants. Remembering the old days - when I picked up three pair at RL ( with Tree's) for around $550 a piece

I knew there were some Italian-made RLPL shoes, which I also knew to steer clear of unless more than 50% off but hadn't known about G&G. The only ones I have experience with are the EG, which I splurged on for my own wedding last month, and they are by fare the nicest pair of shoes I've ever worn. Comfortable right out of the box, too.

Just a semi-related PSA, a couple days ago I was in the RLBL "store" within Neiman Marcus in Chicago and bought a midnight tux that was about 40% off. First time I've ever seen one of the RLBL tuxes on sale. There was one left as of the weekend, I believe it was a 42R.

Does anyone know about these RL Purple Label jeans? They showed up as a color option for the Straight-Leg jeans and then were gone. it said this color was Regal. sizes were 32, 34, 36, 38. i managed to pull this pic from cache

No idea. They had one left in the Chicago store two weeks ago, but wouldn't surprise me if it had been bought since then.
